Standardized, code-compliant builds from a shop founded by a hands-on fabricator. We don’t build the cheapest trailer on Facebook Marketplace — we build real working kitchens designed around how you actually cook and serve. Custom builds from $30,000. Delivery available statewide.
Alamo Food Trailers wasn’t started in a boardroom. After losing his job during COVID, founder Surge Santa Cruz bet on himself — no investors, no big shop, no safety net — and built his first food trailer by hand in his backyard.
That meant learning all of it: welding and fabrication, electrical and plumbing, propane systems and venting. When you order a custom trailer from Alamo, you’re working with someone who understands every system in it because he’s built them himself — not a sales rep flipping units made overseas. And wherever you are in Texas, we deliver.

Designed around your menu, equipment, and workflow

Built to pass inspection and operate legally from day one

Reconfigure or rebuild an existing trailer

Turn a shell or existing trailer into a working mobile kitchen

Electrical, plumbing, propane, and ventilation built in, not bolted on

Every trailer is built by someone who welds, wires, and plumbs it himself — fewer shortcuts, fewer problems later.

Built to pass inspection so you keep operating, not fighting the health department.

We started by repairing other people’s trailers, so we know exactly what fails and why — and build to avoid it.

Wherever you’re launching in Texas, we bring the trailer to you.

We’re not competing on price with cheap marketplace builders. We build kitchens that hold up to daily commercial use.

They help me with it. Only take 3 days to get jobs done. Very friendly. Recommended!Posted on Google Garrett BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I went into this adventure blindly and went with Alamo because they were local and seemed like good dudes. In the end I’m really glad I went with them and would easily recommend them to anyone looking for a trailer. They were very helpful during the initial stages (I never felt pressured to buy) and helped me map my idea out. They delivered on schedule, even with me making a few tweaks in the last two weeks (they were very accommodating). Both the exterior and interior were well constructed and thought out. When I picked it up they walked me through every piece and I left feeling confident I had made a great decision.Posted on Google Ross JohnsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My first call I talked to Jeremy to see if they could run through my trailer to let me know what all I need to pass an inspection. Met with Surge and he was patient with all my questions about the trailer and business questions since I’m new to owning a food trailer. Surge gave me a time that work would be completed and it was finished as promised. I’d recommend Alamo food Trailers with any service, maintenance and repairs.
